   The codes.

   When you are on the "choose your civ" screen, press ESCAPE
 and type in your own.

   In version 1 hold down the SHIFT key and type 1234567890.
 then click on map to reveal whole map.
 In older versions hold ALT R to randomize enemy leaders.

   If you look at the civs using the SHIFT F5 cheat and F7,
 civs can go into the vendetta mode.
